Industrial dehumidifier and air conditioning applications demand the powerful control provided by Subcooled Air’s 5000 cubic feet per minute air conditioner / dehumidifier package. Duct lengths as long as five hundred feet (500 ft) are possible with the air pressure developed by this unit. Dual refrigeration circuits allow use of 15 or 30 tons of refrigeration capacity, depending upon inlet air temperature and humidity. A variable drive supply air blower allows thermostat controlled air. Hot, humid outside air is cooled to the 40 degree Fahrenheit range, providing both cold and dry air to the project.

Cold 40 degree air is twice as dry as normal 58 degree air conditioning. Cold air absorbs both heat and moisture from the project, providing more comfort and lower humidity for workers. Clothes and skin stay dry even when space temperature is only cooled to the 80 degree range. This provides a great sense of comfort for workers and utilizes less energy than cooling to the usual 70 degree range with standard air conditioners.

With a footprint 5 feet wide and 8 feet long the Subcooled Air 5000 can be tucked into a corner for many industrial settings. Summer temperature and humidity control is easily achieved with an efficient 65 amps of 480 volt power. An infusion of fully conditioned outside air or return air can alleviate heat or humidity related problems. Subcooled Air equipment provides better drying of hot, humid air than desiccant dehumidifiers and uses less than half of the energy to do the job. There is also the added benefit of cooling that desiccant drying doesn’t provide.
